Since 2018: A Legacy of Luxury and Comfort
Take a break from the long journey, give yourself time for reflection, and return with renewed energy.
Rest. Reflect. Renew.
Surounding of,
Omah Den Ombo is a lodging complex built from a collection of heritage Javanese and Peranakan houses from various regions.
These buildings were relocated and restored to preserve their architectural and historical value.
Some of the houses that make up this complex include stilt houses from Kudus, Chinese Peranakan houses from Madura, coastal Javanese aristocratic houses, gandok houses from Blitar, and Javanese-Chinese houses from Lasem.
In addition to the main building, various heritage elements are also incorporated into the interior and decoration. Carved gebyok (traditional Javanese traditional house) from Lasem, antique furniture from Semarang and the surrounding area, European table lamps, and an ancient prayer room (langgar) from Demak are part of the identity of the spaces at Omah Den Ombo.
The experience of staying here is not built on luxury, but on a warm home atmosphere, tranquil nature, and a more relaxed pace.
Philosophy,
Omah Den Ombo was built on the belief that humans live as part of nature.
Here, we prioritize harmony between humans, plants, and animals. The environment is allowed to develop naturally, thus maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
In the center of the Omah Den Ombo complex stands a large joglo building open on all four sides. This building serves as the center of the space and a meeting point for guests. The concept is inspired by the Mandala, an ancient philosophy that views life as a balance between four primary elements: earth, water, fire, and air. The Mandala is a form of the four elements that is unbroken and self-centered, never-ending, often interpreted as Alpha and Omega, ultimately meaning that all that is born will return. These four elements are believed to be the basis of harmony in life, maintaining the balance between humans and nature.
Plants grow among the ancient wooden houses. Animals live freely around the area. Humans are present as part of this life.
Our guests are not just visitors; they become part of the living space that we care for together.
We share our space, experiences, and property with everyone who comes to Omah Den Ombo.
In this place, time moves more slowly. The sea breeze, the sound of leaves, and footsteps on the ground become part of the rhythm of daily life. Through this simplicity, we hope everyone who comes can rediscover the serenity often lost in modern life.
Omah Den Ombo is a space to pause, to re-experience the connection between humans, nature, and life itself.
